The reasons are many and varied,

A lack of memory, or RAM, is
one of the main causes. If your
computer doesn t have enough
RAM, it will run slowly.
Think of a bricklayer on a small
scaffold. If he can t fit many bricks
on the scaffold with him, he will
spend a lot of time running to his
pallet of bricks and back again, and
not a lot of time actually laying

These programs run in the
background and yet rarely get used.
"Google" the program and see
what it does in order to decide if
you want it or not.
Try to reduce the programs that
start themselves every time you
start the computer. I will talk more
about this in another article.
Believe it or not, one of the main
culprits for slowing down computers
are Anti-Virus programs.
We need the Anti-Virus programs
